Thank You For Making Chocolate & Tea A Huge Success!!! We at the Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity would like to thank everyone who made Chocolate and Tea a huge success this year! The first Chocolate & Tea event was held in 2003, and has now become our premiere annual fundraiser! In addition to silent and live auction items, we have a chocolate fountain, many chocolate goodies and other items to sample, coffee, tea, live music, all making for a fun afternoon. This year we were supported by fantastic sponsors, listed on the right. Because of the gracious support of our sponsors who generously underwrote our expenses, all monies raised from ticket sales, proceeds from the live and silent auctions, and additional monetary donations will go entirely into building simple, decent, affordable homes for God's people in need in Riley and Pottawatomie Counties. Habitat for Humanity International helps build hope, dignity and self-worth for many people around the globe. Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity's 8th Annual Chocolate & Tea even was a great success! We raised over $13,000 for our building fund. Thank you to everyone who supported this event by volunteering, attending, or donating items. Save the date!!! Our 9th Annual Chocolate & Tea event will be Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the Houston Street Ballroom. If you are interested in serving on our planning committee, which starts meeting in November, please contact the Habitat For Humanity Office (785-537-7545). We appreciate the support of the entire community toward this worthwhile endeavor. Carol L. Bredesen |
