Habitat Repair Team

Help us spread the word – the Habitat Repair Team is in town!

Every family should have the opportunity to affordably maintain their home.  But, sometimes, life gets in the way.  Injury, loss of income, additional family members can put a strain on some families’ limited income.   Families are stronger when they live in safe and stable homes.  That is why Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity has created the Habitat Repair Team program.

HOW CAN I HELP?

We are looking for eager, community-minded volunteers to work on short-term projects for low-income homeowners.  Exterior repairs (painting, porch repair, yard clean-up, etc.) that can be done in one or two days – perfect for large groups!
Groups of five or more that would like to form their own “Team” are encouraged!  Each team decides which projects to accept and how often they will participate throughout the year.  Contact volunteer@mahfh.org to sign up your team.
We hope to spread God’s love further throughout Riley and Pottawatomie counties with this terrific initiative – won’t you join us?
